Accessibility Conformance Report

Based on: VPATĀ® 2.4Prepared on: Aug 9th, 2023Last modified on: Mar 11th, 2024

Evaluation methods used

I tested the website using the following web browsers and assistive technologies:

  • Desktop browsers: Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari
  • Assistive technologies: NVDA, VoiceOver
  • Accessibility testing tools: Colour Contrast Analyser, WAVE, axe Dev tools

I conducted testing both in an automated and manual fashion by:

  • performing manual testing using a keyboard and screen reader
  • performing automated testing using browser tools

I evaluated for conformance according to the Department of Homeland Security Trusted Tester Program(Opens external link in new tab).

Applicable standards and guidelines

This report covers the degree of conformance for the following accessibility standards and regulations:

  • WCAG are internationally adopted technical standards for making web content accessible.
  • ETSI EN 301 549 is a European-developed accessibility standard for ICT products and services developed by the European Standards Organizations CEN (European Committee for Standardization), CENELEC (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization), and ETSI (European Telecommunications Standards Institute). The standard contains accessibility criteria for ICT products and services and incorporates the WCAG standards for web accessibility.
  • US Section 508 guidelines were developed by the US Access Board for use by federal agencies in implementing Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act. Federal agencies use the Section 508 guidelines to develop, procure, maintain, and use accessible Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Terms

The terms used in the Conformance Level information are defined as follows:

  • Supports: The functionality of the product has at least one method that meets the criterion without known defects or meets with equivalent facilitation.
  • Partially Supports: Some functionality of the product does not meet the criterion.
  • Does Not Support: The majority of product functionality does not meet the criterion.
  • Not Applicable: The criterion is not relevant to the product.
  • Not Evaluated: The product has not been evaluated against the criterion. I've not used this since it can only be used when evaluating for Level AAA.

Note: In the table below, for all criteria marked "Not Applicable," the specific feature covered by that criterion is not part of the website. For example: Since live video-only content is not part of my website, then WCAG criterion 1.2.4 Captions (live) is marked "Not Applicable."
