You might think you've planned, designed, coded and tested for everything.
That's unlikely.
It's only a matter of time until you get feedback or complaints that your product doesn't work with a specific assistive technology. And what you do next determines who you are.
You can investigate and figure out what's wrong, what's not working, dedicate time and resources to fixing your product for this one obscure assistive technology.
Or you can resort to marketing speak and say "we've tested and guarantee our product to work with your operating system's assistive technology." You imply anything else is out of scope.
The first implies perhaps a lot of work for seemingly little value. The second is a cop-out.
Why?
Because now you know something doesn't meet the requirements and you're aware you're excluding users. Your users. People who want to use your product.
But you don't care because you don't bother to fix it. You hide behind the fine print.
Not caring is unacceptable. Don't hide behind the fine print.
