Here's to you

1 minute read

Merry Christmas to everyone building a more accessible web.

Here's to the developers checking keyboard navigation works at 11 PM on a Friday. Here's to the designers fighting for better colour contrast ratios. Here's to everyone who's ever explained why "click here" isn't a good text for a link.

Here's to those who've fought for screen reader testing in the sprint. Who've taught their teams about focus indicators. Who've quietly fixed someone else's terrible form labels.

You're making the internet work for everyone. You're all making my days matter.

This work rarely gets noticed. But it matters.

Thanks for giving a shit about people you'll never meet.

Cheers to you!
