When the usual way isn't working

1 minute read

Organisations often find themselves on a hamster wheel when they try to integrate accessibility into their software development lifecycle. They tried and failed many times, and not for lack of dedication, knowledge or enthusiasm.

Lasting results just weren't there.

Each time they try again, there's an overwhelming sense of optimism and enthusiasm. This time will be different.

It rarely turns out that way.

If you want real change, lasting change, you need to try a different approach and go down roads you haven't explored yet. Maybe it's against conventional thinking - but do you care?!

It might involve reassessing your strategies, redefining success metrics and even re-imagining the role of accessibility within our organisation. Success won't come from repeating past strategies. You need to be willing to experiment, fail, learn and adapt.

If you want a different outcome, it's time to start doing something different to get it.
